'Oculina' is the newest addition to The Cottonwood Collection. As cottonwood burl in itself is a natural phenomenon, each piece in this series focuses on the wonders of the natural world - highlighting the biodiversity of earth and the lesser explored flora, fungi and the truly remarkable ecosystems within it.
The bark inclusion of this cottonwood piece is so reminiscent of a coral reef, therefore an underwater name seemed only fitting. Oculina is a coral found in the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico and Bermuda.
Finished on the bottom with a signature brass coin.
Dimensions: 12.5" at widest x 9.5" at most narrow x 2.75" tall
This vase is not watertight and is intended for dried florals. Measurements are approximate. Finished with an all-natural, non-toxic and plant-based oil.
