Thera

'Thera' has been sculpted by free hand, sanded smooth then burnt and brushed using the traditional Japanese method of Yakisugi. The technique of burning raises the grains which truly accentuates the depth of this salvaged wide grain Douglas Fir vase. It felt only right to name this mountain inspired piece after the volcano Thera, now known as the island of Santorini in Greece.

Dimensions: 15 inches tall x 7 inches at its widest.

For stems (not included), the hole measures 4 inches deep with the opening spanning 0.5 inches wide.

This vase is not watertight and is intended for dried florals. Measurements are approximate. Finished with an all-natural, non-toxic and plant-based oil.
