This statement vase is 6.5 pounds of charactered birch. Salvaged in Blue River, BC, it's a piece of crotch wood, meaning it's the part of the trunk where two branches were growing, resulting in two piths. It has some spalting, some figured wood where the tree was growing under stress and it has a couple areas of live edge, that have been charred by burning. Reminiscent of a stone in the water, it has been shaped by its life's journey. Not perfect, but beautiful nevertheless.

It has two holes for stems. The top hole measures 1.75" (4.5 cm) across and 1.5" (4 cm) deep, the second hole measures 0.5in (1.5 cm) across and extends the total depth to 3.75" (9.5 cm).
This vase is not watertight and is intended for dried florals. Measurements are approximate. Finished with Walrus Oil; an all-natural, non-toxic and plant-based oil.
