Named after a reaction from one of my clients about the knot and spalting combination this piece of maple has. Salvaged from the Okanagan and left out in the weather, this wood has such beautiful character; with heavy spalting, beautiful knots and an opened crack. Embracing the concept of Wabisabi, it leans ever so slightly to one side, and has a tiny pinch for your thumb to rest when you pick it up.

For stems (not included), this vase has a 5" (12.75cm) deep hole that spans 0.5" (1.5 cm) across.
This vase is not watertight and is intended for dried florals. Measurements are approximate. Finished with an all-natural, non-toxic and plant-based oil.
