The Cottonwood Burl collection is a truly one of a kind series, as no two vases can ever be the same.

Burl wood is the result of the irregular growth of a tree's grain pattern, usually due to an illness, fungus or natural injury. The grain begins to grow twisted and interlocked, which develops into stunning curly and swirly grain patterns.

Each vase focuses on enhancing the natural features present in the wood, such as bark inclusions, bird's eye grain, burl spikes and decorative voids. The vases are shaped to highlight the distinctive character the presence of this natural phenomenon has created.
